Description

Exploring the countryside with an acute understanding of Mother Nature's magic, Wonderment is a beautiful anthology of seasonal poetry, written and illustrated by Sherry L. Ross.

‘The ache of spring is undeniable. It hurts before it sings.’ Out in the American fields, skunk cabbages sprout like hooded baby goblins; arrow-like herons emerge with fish in their beaks; and fireflies return to the deep shadows of a summer night. Wonderment is a beautiful anthology of seasonal poetry, written and illustrated by Sherry Ross. Exploring the countryside with an acute understanding of Mother Nature’s magic and inspired by centuries of woodland and pastoral folklore, Ross’s words and images capture a genuine sense of awe, as light and dark come and go and each season in turn bends the landscape to its will. Having previously authored the charming children’s book Return of the Vinetropes, Ross is well placed to convey the innocent wonders of the natural world in this imaginative and visually stunning collection. Perfect for fans of all things wild and wonderful. AUTHOR: Sherry L. Ross grew up in a home where writing and art were part of everyday life.
