Author Bio

Edward Quinn, born in Dublin in 1920, played Hawaiian guitar in Belfast and then joined the Royal Air Force. When he later came to the Cote d'Azur, he photographed statesmen, glamour girls and playboys as well as celebrities from art, music and literature. His pictures of the still unknown Audrey Hepburn, of Grace Kelly's first meeting with Prince Rainier and of the young Brigitte Bardot are most impressively remembered. He also portrayed Picasso, T. S. Eliot and Gary Cooper. With his sophisticated technique, great patience and much charm, Quinn captured unforgettable moments of the post-war Riviera.
