Author

Robyn Belton grew up on a farm near Whanganui, then
went on to study painting at the Canterbury University of
Fine Arts. She has illustrated many books including such
classics as The Duck and the Gun, written by Joy Cowley,
as well as the Greedy Cat series, also by Joy Cowley, and
the bestselling Herbert the Brave Sea Dog. She has won the
Russell Clark Medal for illustration twice, and with many
other major awards to her name, she was awarded the
prestigious Margaret Mahey Medal in 2006. Robyn lives in Dunedin.
